Adopting
How a dog comes home
Four steps, a few weeks, and a lot of tail-wagging. We'll be with you the whole way.
Say hello
Tell us which dog you liked, or what you're looking for. A volunteer calls you back within two days.
Meet the dog
Book a quiet meet-and-greet. Bring everyone who will live with the dog, and your dog too if you have one.
Home visit
A volunteer pops round for half an hour to check the garden fence and answer your questions.
Welcome home
You take your dog home with a starter bag, and we call after a week, a month and a year.

Questions
Can I adopt if I work full time?
Often, yes: tell us how your days look and we'll suggest a dog who'd be happy with them.
I rent. Can I adopt?
Yes, with your landlord's written permission.
Do you rehome outside Millbrook?
Within about an hour's drive, so we can visit.
What if it doesn't work out?
The dog comes back to us, always. No judgement, at any point in the dog's life.
